SmartBoard Sharing Conference for Grade 7 – 12 Math, Science and Social Studies

Description:  Technology has changed how we approach the teaching of all subjects.  This conference offers mini-workshops on a variety of technological approaches based on the use of a SmartBoard in your Grade 7 - 12 Math, Science and Social Studies classroom. 

 

Registration: 3:15 – 3:30 PM             Workshops: 3:30 -5 PM

Location: Lynnfield High School, 275 Essex Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940

 

Workshop 1: Basic Use of SmartBoards and SmartNotebook

Focus: This presentation will give the participant a general overview of how SmartBoards can be used in all subject areas and an overview of how all the components work together.

Workshop 2: Pre-Algebra through Calculus          

Focus:  TI SmartView, Autograph, and SmartBoards have changed how algebra topics are introduced. See How!!

Workshop 3: Geometry        

Focus: How can the SmartBoard and Geometer’s Sketchpad change how you teach Geometry?

Workshop 4: Science

Focus: How has the SmartBoard changed how science topics are introduced? Video, online science experiments and interactive lessons help improve science presentations.

Workshop 5:            Social Studies

Focus: SmartNotebook, PowerPoint, the Internet, Video, etc are all available and at your fingertips in this electronic classroom.

 

Fee:     $5 for Member Districts              $25 for non-Member Districts
