“Autograph” in Teaching High School Mathematics
Full Day Workshop
February 15th
Description: PC Software, graphing calculators, and SmartBoards have changed how we teach mathematics. One significant PC program is Autograph. This dynamical program is one of the top selling educational programs in Europe and the private schools in the US. It can be used for most courses from pre-algebra through college calculus. Teachers can use it for presentations or in just preparing worksheets, investigations and assessments. You have seen what the Geometers’ Sketchpad has done for Geometry. Now see what Autograph can do for the rest of the high school mathematics curriculum. A special treat will be how Autograph can be used with Microsoft Word and the hidden power of Word for Mathematics teachers.
We are fortunate enough to have Douglas Butler from Oundle, England as the presenter of this workshop. Douglas is the creator of Autograph and is in the Boston area for only a few days. He has offered presentations all over the world and last year was the keynote speaker of Texas Instruments’ International Conference.
