Description: Want to jazz up those PowerPoint® slides you created last year? This workshop will show you some of the specialized and advanced features in this powerful program that will help to enhance your presentations and engage your students. Participants should bring an existing presentation or materials needed to create a new presentation for use in your classroom. A flash drive is recommended for saving and transporting your files.

SESSION 1: Tuesdays

Beyond Content – Creating outlines, background and design options, April 24

manipulating graphics, contrast and consistency in formatting

SESSION 2:

Adding Animation – Transitions, animation schemes, custom May 1

animation, order of animation

SESSION 3:

Sound and Video – Resources for locating clips, inserting sound May 8

and video on slides, settings for proper playback

SESSION 4:

Preparing to Present – Rehearsing and timing your presentations, May 15

creating hyperlinks, printing options, resources for rubrics
