Description:  In this grade 3-5 workshop, we will focus on how we can best support student thinking and writing in science. We will present the connections between science inquiry and literacy and then look at how we can make these connections more visible to our students. We will carry out investigations that address the big ideas presented in the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Framework and then discuss how teacher questioning, science talk, and science notebooks can help students better master these concepts.
