We are pleased to bring back Rudy Neufeld, the founder of Neufeld Learning Systems, as a presenter for the collaborative. The software programs that Rudy and his company have created tie in beautifully with our state frameworks in both content and in teaching pedagogy. Earlier this year, Rudy was well received by k-12 participants and collaborative board members. In this presentation Rudy will be focusing on grades k-5.  Participants will be presented an overview of how the software programs work as well as the overall scope of the k-5 software. Participants will have time to try the programs out. Even if participants do not purchase the software, the pedagogy presented will be thought provoking and a wonderful discussion topic with your teachers.

Last fall, Rudy offered collaborative members a major discount (40%) on his software. The collaborative will enhance this discount with an additional $200 discount paid by the collaborative (this offer is limited to collaborative schools and the first 50 licenses - no more than three licenses from any one district.)  In addition, the collaborative will provide training on the software during the summer institute. The collaborative will purchase the software for our districts and districts may repay us using 2008 or 2009 funds. Non-member schools will be allowed to participate in the training programs this summer at the member rate.
