The Bike
Patrol is a necessary asset to
our department. Officers are able to quickly respond
to all areas of campus in
and around the city of Salem. Weather permitting,
the bike units offer support for patrol, traffic enforcement,
investigations and crime prevention activity for the
Salem State College Community. At present,there
are seven members on the squad, all of whom must pass
a grueling and difficult program through C.O.B.W.E.B.(cops
on bikes with education for bicyclists)Certified police
bike program ,that leads to certification as a member
of the Bike Patrol Squad.
