Enrollment

The Preschool operates September through May for a total of thirty-two weeks, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm during the Fall and Spring academic terms. Enrollment is on a semester basis. The program is licensed for children ages 2.9 to 5 years of age.

A six week Summer Nature Program is also available. The Summer Program operates Monday- Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm

Children of full-time SSC students receive first priority. Faculty, staff, and community children are accepted thereafter. Average weekly enrollment is between twenty-five and thirty children, most attend on a part-time basis.

• Children are required to attend a minimum of two days for six hours a week.
• Mornings, afternoons, and full days are available.
• Days and hours are flexible within certain arrival and departure times.
• Children must arrive by 9:00am to be a part of the morning program.

Registration

Registration is by appointment only and includes a brief interview with the director, which serves to explain the Preschool policies and curriculum, referral policy, parent conferences and procedures, visits and input, children's records, and emergency and Health Care Policy.

Registration forms will be mailed to interested parents. All forms are to be completed at home and submitted at registration. All forms must be complete and on file before any child can attend. All children are required to have health insurance.

All children are required to visit the Preschool with their parents before their first day. The best time to visit is a half-hour before registration. To schedule a visit and to register, parents can contact the Office.
