Peace College Mission

The mission of the Peace College is to create an intergenerational dialogue about the nature, history, and future of the peace movement. It will network generations of peace activists so that they can share and build on ideas. The Peace College will empower young activists with the history and resources they need to make social change. For the more experienced activists, the Peace College will revitalize old ideas and methods and inspire new ones. This first Peace College is intended to be the building block for many subsequent Peace Colleges that can be replicated by any organization, school, or individual throughout the world. Overall, the Peace College is geared toward creating and sustaining successful nonviolent activism that will make the world a more peaceful place.

FOR Mission

The FOR seeks to replace violence, war, racism, and economic injustice with nonviolence, peace, and justice. We are an interfaith organization committed to active nonviolence as a transforming way of life and as a means of radical change. We educate, train, build coalitions, and engage in nonviolent and compassionate actions locally, nationally, and globally.
