What is the Peace College?

Our nation is in crucial need of a young generation of nonviolent leaders. They’ve got to train, and they’ve got to start now. The Peace College will empower young people with the skills, strategies, and network to start a nonviolent revolution. How does it work? You come April 16th, 17th, and 18th to Salem State College. You will take classes for the weekend. Classes on how to mobilize. Classes on how to lead. Classes on how to make it all happen. You will talk to other peacemakers of all ages. You will make connections. You will learn peace.

Where is the Peace College?

Salem State College in Salem Massachusetts on April 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2004.

Why is the Peace College important?

In order to change violent political and social actions in the United States and the world, peace activists must share knowledge, methods, and visions. It is only if creative and classic methods are shared and discussed amongst peace activists that a focused, effective movement can be launched. This is a crucial time in history to encourage nonviolent activism. If the world does not learn how to peacefully negotiate and resolve conflict, the future will be laden with chaos, unrest, violence, and war. This will only result in devastation. Today there is still the opportunity to transform the world. But we must work together, and we must work with accuracy and speed.
