PDA's in Nursing

Following a successful year-long faculty Nursing PDA pilot program established by a donation from the Jewish Community Foundation, the School of Nursing is requiring all nursing students enrolled in sophomore through senior level nursing courses to purchase a PDA beginning with the fall 2008 semester. The recommended software contains valuable clinical references that will allow students to access information immediately with a handheld device in the clinical setting (ie. medications, labs, or diagnoses).

The required bundle of 5 reference books and other resources is available from Skyscape by clicking on the ‘Purchase' link below. The Skyscape bundle may be purchased together with a Palm TX PDA at a discount. The reference bundle is also compatible with other devices listed on the Skyscape website including Blackberry, iPhone/iPod Touch, Treo, Tungsten E2, iPAQs, and other devices running Palm, Windows Mobile or Nokia Symbian. In addition to the required bundle, various optional books are listed on the website.
