The Student Nurses Association at Salem State College is open to any student at the college, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, creed, national origin, age, or disability. Its purpose is to present the views and needs of the nursing majors at SSC.
The SNA also functions as a facility for student opportunity, an educational aid for the college and a professional organization.
Activities that are sponsored by the SNA can be as varied as the student members want. Student sponsored activities also include such things as community service projects, speakers, and many other events. From the student perspective, SNA is:
- a voice, fun
- a community of friends,
- a catalyst for change,
- a resource, creative,
- empowerment, the future
- and leadership
One of the big attractions is our affiliation with the state and national organizations. Each year a representative group attends the National convention, which is held in a different place each year.
