RN to BSN Program
The RN to BSN program is a part-time evening program designed for Registered Nurses currently holding diplomas or associate degrees and who want to pursue a Bachelor in Science Nursing (BSN) degree.
Applying
- Complete an undergraduate admissions application
- Send a copy of your RN license and official sealed transcripts to the Admissions Office
- The evening program admits applicants all year
Credit Transfer
- Receive 25 credits for your RN license
- Associate Degree nursing clinical courses do not transfer in
Course Info
- RN-BSN nursing courses are held Fall, Spring and Summer Session I
- General education, science, and support courses held all year
- Nursing classes are on-site at SSC and Northern Essex Community College; online classes may be available
- Two clinical practica required: nursing management and leadership; and public health. Each requires six hours a week for a semester
- You can take any non-nursing course before program acceptance
- RN's may take Health Policy or Professional Role Transition without program acceptance
- Course coordinator may grant permission to take nursing courses upon proof of licensure
- All nursing students must adhere to School of Nursing policies
Cost & Time to Complete
- Dependent upon how many courses you need to take to complete the RN-BSN program, and how many courses you take a semester.
