NUR212 - Fundamentals of Nursing
This clinical focuses on the basic skills and concepts you as a nursing student need in order to care for people for the first time in the clinical setting, whether it be a nursing home, rehabilitation, or hospital setting.
You will perform skills such as interviewing, physical assessment, including temperature, pulse, respiration, hygiene care, safety skills, and sterile technique such as dressing changes. Students also administer medications to patients.
You as a beginning practitioner are very eager and excited to finally take care of a patient, a unique human being.
NUR212 is an eye opener to the world of professional nursing and the profound responsibility that you the student now embrace.
