Salem State student and cancer survivor Kristin Santanello will run her first Boston Marathon
Kristin Santanello of Swampscott, who has been in remission from Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, will run the 26.2 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 18 in support of Massachusetts General Hospital's pediatric oncology team. Kristin will make history as the first all patient ever to run this marathon for the hospital's pediatric oncology team. A sophomore majoring in biomedical science at the university, Kristin has played field hockey and lacrosse.
