Teacher Test Preparation Center

The Teacher Test Preparation Center is in the Ellison Campus Center on the second floor in the Essex Room. We serve students in all certification programs at SSC. The Center contains practice tests for the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure as well as materials for reinforcing literacy skills and content knowledge. We offer diagnostic services and tutoring in all areas of the MTEL, and general info about the test.

No appointment is necessary to take a practice test or for tutoring. Tutoring is only available for SSC students and alumni. Drop-in hours change each semester. For a current schedule, call 978-542-7166.

Upcoming MTEL Prep Workshops

The Center is offering prep workshops for upcoming MTEL Exams.

• Workshops are held on 3 consecutive Saturdays
• There is no discount for attending fewer sessions.
• Cost for SSC students (with student ID#) and alumni is $80. Non-SSC cost is $150.
• Pre-registration is required:
  • To register call the Phone-in Registration line at 978-542-6334,
    Monday – Thursday from Noon – 8:00 pm
    Please have your credit card number, expiration date, and Social Security #
