Interlibrary Loan
About Interlibrary Loan:
The library will borrow materials from other libraries through interlibrary loan (978.542.6501). This service is available only to members of the Salem State College students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Interlibrary loan requests may be made via the web, email, or in-person at the Circulation Desk.
All information required on print forms is necessary for e-mail. Students may request up to five titles at one time. They must wait until all borrowed books have been returned before requesting other ILL's. Sometimes there is a fee involved, depending upon the policy of the lending library.
Note: Please check the Periodicals/E-Books Directory before making article requests. All requests must comply with current copyright law. Pick up interlibrary loan materials from the Circulation/Reserves Desk.

Include the following information when making e-mail book requests:
Name, Address, Date, Telephone Number (day and evening), E-Mail Address, Status (faculty, student, staff), Library Barcode Number, Maximum Amount Willing to Pay if There's a Charge, Author/Editor, Title, Date and Place of Publication, Edition, Verified In, Library Location (if from NOBLE WebCat), Call Number (if from NOBLE WebCat)
Include the following information when making e-mail journal requests:
Name, Address, Date, Telephone Number (day and evening), E-Mail Address, Status (faculty, student, staff), Library Barcode Number, Maximum Amount Willing to Pay if There's a Charge, Journal Title, ISSN Number (if known), Authors, Title of the Article, Volume, Issue Number, Date, Pages, Database/Source of Citation
Include the following information when making e-mail book renewals - OCLC - Yellow Band on ILL Book:
Date, First/Last Name, E-mail Address, Barcode Number, ILL Transaction Number, Title of Book
Include the following information when making e-mail book renewals - NOBLE - Blue Band on ILL Book:
Date, First/Last Name, E-mail Address, Barcode Number , ILL E-Mail (3 letter school abbreviation), Title of Book
