OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

The continuing mission of the Salem State College Student Support Services Program is to increase the retention to graduation of low-income, first-generation and individuals with disabilities enrolled at the College.

The Student Support Services Program is designed to comprehensively address the academic and motivational obstacles that affect increased success in undergraduate studies for eligible project participants.

The overall goal of the Student Support Services Program is to generate the skills and motivation necessary for baccalaureate achievement among low-income, first-generation, particularly underrepresented students based on gender, race, national origin, color, disability, and age who have an assessed need for project services due to an educational and/or economic disadvantage.
