Language courses
The Department of Foreign Languages at Salem State College currently offers courses on
Arabic,
French,
German,
Italian and
Spanish languages, cultures, and literatures (German is typically only taught in evening courses through the Department of Continuing Education in the Non-Traditional Programs division).

Literature in translation sequence: FLT251 and FLT252
These two courses in Foreign Language Literature in translation which may be taken to satisfy the college-wide Division I literature sequence distribution sequence. If is one of the two dozen options that students have (see the current course schedule for the list). So, if European literature interests you, please consider these courses.
