Language Intensive Interdisciplinary Program (LIIP)

An interdisciplinary program designed for the advanced multi-lingual student who is committed to a global, multi-perspective education, community service, and leadership. This two-semester program brings culturally diverse freshmen together into a cohort. They are immersed in academic discourse in each required course, creating a truly interdisciplinary curriculum which emphasizes critical thinking. Candidates who meet the following criteria will be interviewed and screened prior to being admitted:

• Non-native English speaker
• Demonstrated leadership
• A willingness to learn about other cultures and explore new ideas and perspectives
• Demonstrated academic skills as evidenced by full acceptance to SSC
