| Welcome to our Web Page! Feel free
to browse around and see the exciting possibilities of studying history in
one of America's most historic regions. One historian has claimed that more
history books have been written about Essex County than anywhere else in America,
and he just might be right. Salem is home to the China Trade, Nathaniel Hawthorne,
spectacular historic buildings, and yes, even the famous witch trials. The
city is also the site of the America's first national park, the first living
history museum, and, of course a state college with a history department
that is dedicated to teaching as well as utilizing this rich historical legacy. |
