MAT History

The Master of Arts in Teaching History, a thirty-nine (39) credit hour program is to be completed within a six (6) year period, is available for either liberal arts graduates who wish to begin preparation for teaching history at the secondary level or practicing teachers who desire to expand their understanding of the educational process while increasing their formal education in history. Completion of the MAT-History program fulfills the requirement for initial licensure for teaching history in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
