MAT ESL
This program has two tracks:
(1) the Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language licensure program, which leads to Commonwealth of Massachusetts initial licensure to teach English as a Second Language in grades PK- 12.
(2) the Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language non-licensure program for those who already possess ELL licensure but don’t have a graduate degree, or for those interested in teaching in community based programs, adult education programs, college programs, language schools in the U.S. or overseas.
Both programs provide a foundation for those who wish to pursue doctoral studies in ESL.
We also offer a Certificate Program in teaching ESL.
