With over 40 majors the Department of Geological Sciences at Salem State College is devoted to undergraduate teaching. Although most of our students have jobs while attending college some find the time to pursue research. Students interested in research either become involve with faculty research (e.g.Chadbourne Archeological Project, Chebacco Lake Project or Marine Science Lab) course related research (Coastal Geology beach studies), or pursue independent projects.
