Welcome!

Whether you are visiting our Web site for the first time or are a regular visitor, I know you will find within these pages a sampling of some of the unique attributes that make Salem State special to its students, its alumni, those who work here, and the greater North Shore community. They are just a few of the many reasons that brought me to this vibrant and evolving campus as its thirteenth president in 2007.

At Salem State, we are guided by a mission statement that defines who we are, and by a clear vision of what we will be in the future. A set of core values guides us in achieving the ambitious goals we have set before ourselves. These are all defined in more detail in the college's recently completed five-year strategic plan, which I hope you will take the time to read.

I invite you to learn more about our Salem State community and the ways we are making differences in the lives of our students, in the future of regional business through work force development, in the quality of our neighborhoods through civic engagement initiatives, and in the growth of North Shore businesses and municipalities through the many resources we offer.
