Enrichment Programs:
The FASST (Ford After-School at Salem State) Program buses 120 Ford children in Grades 3 ñ 6 to the College campus once a week to participate in after-school clubs in Computers, Arts & Crafts, and Health & Fitness. Club leaders are College students, who receive training, materials, and support from faculty in planning and carrying out club activities. The College has provided the use of the Education Computer Lab, the Education Resource Library/Instructional Design Lab, and space for physical activities for these clubs.

After-School Literacy Program: With the support of a grant, the Office of Community Service-Learning at the College funds a project which engages College community service students in literacy tutoring at the Ford School, under the direction of the school's Reading Specialist. College students in this project complete this tutoring in connection with Education courses in Reading and Multicultural Education, linking course concepts to their experiences at Ford.
