Licensure

The Educator Licensure Program prepares SSC education majors for the Massachusetts Department of Education (DOE) license requirements. Admission into the licensure programs is a multi-step process with several requirements to meet before student teaching (practicum). Students should become familiar with the requirements of their respective licensure programs and the Mass DOE regulations, which are subject to change, immediately following acceptance into the major. Students interested in obtaining a license outside of Massachusetts should consult with that state’s education agency.
