What is Web 2.0 and how has it changed the teaching landscape? Workshops throughout the semester will give members of the SSC community a chance to explore new Web 2.0 technologies that allow us to publish, share, connect, collaborate and have fun while creatively exploring our disciplines, teaching and learning. We will explore Blogs, Wikis, Mash-ups, social networking, Second Life, Jott, Dodgeball, etc.
We will also offer some more traditional workshops on tools to make your teaching fun, interactive and possibly just a bit easier.

Collaborate through Photos
Sharing photos is much more than uploading to the web. Flickr and other photo web sites give you the tools to discuss, create slide shows, connect & juxtapose images and engage visual learners. We will show you how to find, edit and share images using Flickr, Piknik and Creative Commons.

SoftChalk lets you build beautiful, interactive web pages that you can upload to Blackboard. Use it to beautify your online materials or to create learning games, self-assessments, and interactive tutorials. You can even create CDs and DVDs for distribution in class.
