Online Course Development Program (OCDP)
The OCDP provides faculty with the support and resources they need, both technical and pedagogical, to prepare existing courses to be offered in a fully online format via the WebCT system. Faculty meet regularly with an instructonal designer, instructional technologist and faculty with experience teaching online to discuss the pedagogical and technical issues involved in redesigning a face-to-face course for the online environment. The program includes a 3 week online session to experience online learning as a student, group readings and discussion. Participants are expected to share their work with the OCDP group and provide supportive feedback to eachother using a rubric of best practices for online course design. A call for proposals is issued in September. Applications will be posted shortly.
