Learning Circles are low-key discussion groups that give participants a chance to share their work, highs and lows, with other people who share their interest. Conveners will seek a volunteer to share his/her work and kick-off discussion at each meeting, but anyone can share as time permits. Learning Circles will meet approximately every 3 weeks (3-5), at a mutually convenient time for members of the circle.
If you have a suggestion for a learning circle or would like to join one of the learning circles listed blow, please contact Marc Boots-Ebenfield (mbootsebenfiel@salemstate.edu, 6718).
Topics in Online Teaching (Marc Boots-Ebenfield):
Online teaching presents a number of challenges and opportunities. If you are teaching an online or hybrid course and would like to share your experiences and get feedback from your colleagues, please join us to discuss issues related to online teaching on Monday, November 13 from 11-12:30 in the ITTC (Central Campus 152). Our first meeting will focus on issues in using the discussion board (DB) in WebCt. What is working well? What will you change in the future? Any student issues related to the DB?
Topics in Instructional Design (Marc Boots-Ebenfield):
Please RSVP to Marc Boots-Ebenfield if you are interested in attending any of the learning circles listed above (mbootsebenfiel@salemstate.edu, 6718). Please note the learning circle you intend to join and let me know if you will be at the first meeting.
