Chris Mauriello, History Department Live streaming lecture with synched Powerpoint presentation for World Civilizations II This project grew from my interest in using instructional technology in innovative ways. After teaching five years with Microsoft Powerpoint as a lecture tool and two years running my presentations on my course Web site, I took the next step of merging my live lectures with powerpoint and streaming the synchronized presentation live from the Web. With th assistance of Derek Barr in Instructional Media and PresenterONE software from Accordent Technologies, I was able to complete one pilot lecture on World War One during the Summer of 2002. I intend to develop similar presentations for all of my World Civilizations II lectures for use as supplemental study materials for my live classes and for use in online/distance learning versions of World Civilizations II in the summer of 2003. |
