Parking Procedures for Salem Residents During Snow Emergencies
During official snow emergencies,* a portion of Salem State’s O’Keefe Center parking lot on Canal Street is available to residents of the South Salem neighborhood.
New procedures are in place for those who need off-street parking. Effective immediately, all residents must register their vehicle in advance and obtain a VISITOR PARKING PERMIT. For more information about snow emergency parking and how to obtain a permit, cick here. Snow emergencies are declared by the city and communicated through local media and signaled by blue flashing lights at major intersections around the city.
