Community Open House - Saturday, October 1 from 1 to 4 pm
President Patricia Maguire Meservey and Executive Vice President Stanley Cahill welcome you to Salem State University. Come see what’s new on campus, experience the quality of our programming, and learn what is available to you as a Salem resident. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

| 1–4 pm | Salem State Community Fair Classroom Building Atrium, Central Campus Visit the community fair to learn more about what’s available to you as a Salem resident and what is scheduled to happen on campus this year. Exhibits will feature: Admissions, Alumni Affairs, Athletics, Center for Creative and Performing Arts, Center for International Education, Graduate School, Civic Engagement in the Community, Continuing Education and Non-Credit Programs, and more.

| 1:30–2 pm | Pictorial History of Salem by Jeff Pearlman Meier Hall front lobby Jeff Pearlman is a seasoned educator of local history and geography. His lecture will take you through the fascinating history of Salem, Massachusetts depicted in the mural in Meier Hall. |

| 2:30–3:30 pm | Acting Class with Peter Sampieri, Mainstage Theatre This fun and exciting class will explore some of the basic skills of acting and improvisation, beginning with ensemble-based warm-ups and improvisational exercises, and ending with performing in short scenes. We will identify and explore what makes a great actor and a great scene through laughter, experimentation, and open discussion. No experience is necessary. All ages are welcome. |
