Evelyn Wilson Receives Jake Bishop Award

SALEM, Mass. Nov. 28, 2005-Evelyn Wilson, of Salem, has received the honorary Jake Bishop Award for meritorious service, presented by the Board of Directors of the National Association of Education Buyers (NAEB).
A graduate of the Salem State College's School of Business, Wilson is the director of purchasing and has been employed at the college for the past 13 years. The Jake Bishop Award recognizes a lifetime of leadership and service to the higher education community as well as dedication to the field of educational procurement.
"I am honored and thankful to receive the NAEB's recognition and support. It means that my peers recognize my contributions, accomplishments, leadership, teaching skills, mentoring, and my dedication to this profession. I feel that Salem State is on the cutting edge when it comes to our purchasing acumen," said Wilson.
NAEB is the professional association of higher education purchasing, dedicated to higher educational procurement. Its goal is to facilitate the development, exchange and practice of ethical procurement principles, through education, networking, public information and advocacy.
