SALEM - Eileen O'Brien of Marblehead has been named director of the Office of Alumni Affairs at Salem State College.
"I feel privileged to serve the Salem State College community," she said. "Over 70 percent of the college's graduates remain in Massachusetts to contribute to the state's workforce and economy. Our alumni include nurses, teachers, police officers, business leaders, musicians, scientists, actors and news reporters. They are making a difference every day, and it's exciting to be a part of such a significant contribution to our society."
An employee of the college since 1987, O'Brien served in the Office of Alumni Affairs for the past four years and became associate director of Alumni Affairs in 2003. A 2001 graduate of the college, she is pursuing a master's degree in higher education-student affairs.
