In order to inform students of what the Enterprise Center has to offer and to provide information about starting your own business, the Center is hosting a brunch on Monday, May 2nd from 11:00-12:15 during community time.
The Enterprise Center is home to 28 small, start-up businesses and 100 employees. "The Center provides small business owners with the knowledge they need to maximize success whether they are just starting out, growing, fighting for market share in a tough economy or looking for exit strategies, " said Christine Sullivan, executive director of the center.
There will be three speakers during the brunch who are students at Salem State College and have experience in starting their own businesses. They will speak about how they got their business started, what it takes to be an entrepreneur, and they will give advice to those interested in starting their own business.
Some of the business owners that are located in the Center will also be available to give information about their companies. Students will have the chance to meet these business entrepreneurs and they will have an opportunity to network. Coffee and other snacks will be provided and there will be a time for a question and answer period after the speakers present.
