Salem State College hosts concert for local elementary schools

SALEM--- Salem State College will host a concert for local elementary schools on Monday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. in the new recital hall located on the college's Central Campus. This event is open to the public but has limited seating availability.
Students in grades 4, 5 and 6 from Bates Elementary School and St. Joseph School will attend the concert, which will consist of performances from the Instrumental Chamber Ensembles, including the percussion group, the bass quintet, the woodwind ensemble and the string/piano group. The concert is designed to be an "educational demonstration for the students," said Professor Mary-Jo Grenfell, a member of Salem State's Music Department.
The concert is sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement at Salem State College and Salem State's Music Department.
