SALEM – Citing the unpredictable nature of a high profile trial, an agent for journalist/novelist Dominick Dunne has announced that Dunne's scheduled March 25 appearance at Salem State College must be cancelled.
Series organizers are negotiating with several potential replacement speakers and current ticket holders will be notified by mail as soon as a new speaker and date are established.
Dunne, who is covering the Martha Stewart trial for Vanity Fair magazine, was scheduled to be the second of three speakers in this season's Salem State College Series. Earlier this year, actress/director Goldie Hawn led off the 22nd year of the Salem State College Series. On Tuesday, May 4, the season concludes with an appearance by actor Christopher Reeve and novelist Robin Cook.
Tickets are still available for the Reeve/Cook appearance. For more information, call 978-542-7555, email sscseries@salemstate.edu or visit www.salemstate.edu/series .
