SALEM – The Women's Center at Salem State College recently made a donation of $8,000 to the North Shore Rape Crisis Center. Students from the Women's Center at the college raised the money from its March production of "The Vagina Monologues" at the college's Mainstage Auditorium.

The North Shore Rape Crisis Center provided free services to over 7,000 people last year. Due to budget cuts, eight counselors and two staff members at the center were recently laid off.
