SALEM, Mass. - On Thursday, Sept. 2, Salem State College will hold an open house for its new central campus residence hall, located on Loring Avenue, from 4 to 7 p.m. Guided tours of this state-of-the-art "living/learning" center will leave every half hour and be available to students, faculty, staff and local community members.
The new residence hall will help decrease the waiting list for on-campus housing at Salem State by accommodating 450 students. Housing upperclassmen, two faculty members and resident advisors, the hall features an exercise facility, wireless internet in the lounges and a 40-student seminar room. It is also the first air-conditioned state college residence hall in Massachusetts.
