Volunteers plan campus-wide cleanup

SALEM, Mass. - Following close on the heels of Earth Day, the 14th annual Pride Day at Salem State College will take place Thursday, May 8. Over 140 faculty members and administrators are planning to combine efforts with 65 students from the Horace Mann School to clean the college's four campuses.

"It's a way of getting ready for Commencement exercises," said Purchasing Director Evelyn Wilson, one of the organizers. "We want the campus to look its best for graduation."

Commencement for the Graduate School will take place Thursday, May 15. Commencement for the Undergraduate School will take place Saturday, May 17.

Volunteers for the cleanup will be equipped with rakes, brooms, shovels, bags and gardening gloves. For more information, contact organizer Evelyn Wilson at (978) 542-6152.
