| SALEM -- Showcasing the latest presentation technologies available in education, The Instructional Media Center (IMC) at Salem State College will host its second annual Technology Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 in Veteran's Hall located in the college's Campus Center. With GroupComm Systems of Newton, IMC will present equipment and representatives from several manufacturers. Several breakout sessions and demonstrations are planned. "Can you hear me now? Good" by Dr. Myrna Finn, a professor in School of Arts and Sciences at Salem State College, will feature a discussion on the development and creation of a synchronous online courses using two way audio and video. "Non-Linear Editing with Casablanca" by Narayan Kaima of Symco will discuss the full line of non-linear editing appliances and how these turn-key systems offer a simple, yet powerful interface. "Creating Paths for Instructional Technology Success" by Edward Desmarais, a professor in the School of Business at Salem State College, will lead a presentation that provides a case study in instructional technology. "Digital Video: Can My Department Do That?" by Dr. Judi Cook and Dr. Robert Brown, professors in the School of Arts and Sciences at Salem State College, will describe how stream video on the Web holds many possibilities for the classroom. "I'm Trying to Use Blackboard: Where's the Chalk?" by Dr. Susan Anderson, a professor from the School of Human Services at Salem State College, will lead an informal discussion of the "great" and "not-so-great" experiences of faculty and students.
