SALEM - Former Salem State College professor Bill Thomson delivered a light-hearted but informative history lesson during the 22nd annual convocation at the Mainstage Auditorium this week.

Using the college's 150th anniversary as inspiration, Thomson, a retired history professor, talked to the audience about the 12 presidents of Salem State College.

Suzanne Forte, a top senior at the college, spoke to the audience about the "second chance" opportunities at Salem State. The Salem State College Band, under the direction of Mark Aldrich, and the Salem State College Chorus, under the direction of Gary Wood, performed selections.
