SALEM - At its June meeting, the Board of Trustees at Salem State College elected Deirdre Sartorelli of Peabody to be its vice chairperson for the 2002-2003 academic year.

A native of Revere, Sartorelli received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Salem State College in 1983. Since then she has been a dedicated volunteer, having served as president of the college's Alumni Association Board of Directors and as vice president of the Salem State College Foundation. She also chaired the Institutional Advancement and Long-Range Planning Sub-Committee for the Board of Trustees.

A sales executive with Cisco System, Inc., Sartorelli received an MBA from Bentley College and a doctorate in Business Administration from California Coast University.
