School of Business students awarded Osram Sylvania Scholarship

SALEM, Mass. - The School of Business and the Salem State College Foundation have announced the winners of the 2002 Osram Sylvania Scholarship Awards. Since 1979 Osram Sylvania has annually honored the top 14 students at the School of Business who achieved the highest grade point average in their concentration. The awards were presented at a recent reception for the winners and their families hosted by President Nancy Harrington and Acting Dean Dr. Elizabeth M. Haran of the School of Business.
This year's recipients of the Osram Sylvania Scholarship Awards are:
Accounting and Finance:
- Salem resident Yanyu Li
- Lynn residents Anh Nguyen and Sopath Seang
- West Medford resident Domingos Santos
- Marblehead resident Andrew Christensen
Management:
- Beverly resident Kathleen Webster
- Lowell resident Margit White
- Marblehead resident Dawn Johnson
- Ipswich resident Fiona Finch
Marketing:
- Peabody resident Craig Brooks
- Beverly resident Audra DeMarco
- Gloucester resident Jill McFarland
Undeclared Business:
- Salisbury resident Greg Harrison
"This scholarship program is especially noteworthy because it was designed to directly impact student life by allowing academically gifted students to finish their degrees on time. This is why the scholarships are given to students in their junior year," said Harrington.
