Week-long events highlight Salem State Homecoming

SALEM, Mass. - Hypnotist Michael Anthony will appear at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Ellison Campus Center, part of Salem State College's week-long Homecoming events.
Other events include a donor reception at the Hawthorne Hotel at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 and a "Viking Spirit" competition at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 in the Ellison Campus Center.
The Varsity Club Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 in the Dining Commons on the college's main campus.
Activities take place all day Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 9 a.m. with a volleyball tournament at Alumni Field and followed at 10:30 by a reception for first-year families and students at the Ellison Campus Center. A Homecoming Parade at noon and a barbecue at 12:30 will precede the women's soccer game against Westfield State at 1. The winners of the Viking Spirit contest and the winner of a Homecoming Banner contest will be announced during the soccer game.
