SALEM, Mass. - Brothers David and Tom Gardner, creators of The Motley Fool media company, will guide a Salem State College audience through the complex world of finance when they visit the O'Keefe Sports Complex at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, as part of the Salem State College Series.
Using their trademark humor, The Motley Fool will discuss subjects ranging from credit card debt to high-risk stock investment.
A leading financial media company that encompasses book publishing, a monthly magazine and a radio program, The Motley Fool also boasts a Website that has more than two million readers a month and has been consistently ranked as one of the best financial sites on the Internet.
Named after the medieval jesters who spoke the truth without having their heads lopped off, The Motley Fool was first advertised as a newsletter in July of 1993. Since then, the brothers have expanded into other media outlets, including a newspaper column that appears in more than 200 papers.
The Motley Fool Radio Show airs nation-wide over 150 stations. And, the brothers have written four books. Their latest, "Rule Breakers, Rule Makers," is their fourth best-seller.
