Considine receives
fellowship

|
SALEM - Kevin R. Considine of Wilmington, a Criminal Justice major at Salem State College, has been named this year's recipient of the Eugene and Janet Salem Endowment Fellowship. The fellowship will allow Considine to acquire valuable on-the-job experience during a 10-week internship at Suffolk Superior Court in Boston. According to Clerk Magistrate William K. Walsh, Considine will perform the following duties: docketing arraignments and other hearings, scheduling cases within the trial sessions, issuing habeas corpus to various institutions for the appearance of defendants, and assisting justices of the Superior Court. The purpose of the fellowship is to provide worthy Salem State College students a financial opportunity to pursue career related experiences designed to supplement their educational preparation. |
