SSC Community address national tragedy


DiscussionMembers of the Salem State College faculty met with students Wednesday morning, Sept. 12, at the Ellison Campus Center to discuss Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the United States.

Professors Richard Levy (political science department), Aviva Chomsky (history) and Eric Martin (history) gave their reactions to the suicide bombings of the World Trade Towers in New York City and at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Over 100 students attended the talk session with many expressing their concerns about the victims and how the U.S. should respond.

President Nancy D. Harrington Invites the Salem State College Community to attend a program of "Peace and Hope In Our Community" to be held on Monday, September 17, 2001, 11:15 a.m., on the Ellison Campus Center Mall.
