Dr.
Marc Glasser has been named as dean of the graduate school at
Salem State College, President Nancy D. Harrington announced.
Glasser previously served as associate vice president for
academic affairs and dean of graduate and undergraduate programs
at Morehead State University, Morehead, KY. In that post,
he developed new initiatives and opportunities including distance
learning, extended campus programs, continuing education,
international education, women's studies and English as a
second language. He previously held other administrative and
academic positions at Morehead State University since 1972.
Glasser, a Boston native, earned his Ph.D. from Indiana University
and holds a bachelor of arts degree from University of Massachusetts.
"I look forward to working with President Harrington,
my fellow deans, the faculty and staff to strengthen the offerings
of the graduate school at Salem State College. I am confident
that we will be able to increase our availability, accessibility
and opportunities for students in this region." Glasser
said.
