Integrated Skills (9LA420)

Levels 1-6. [results of initial placement exam will be used to determine students' levels] Practice in all skill areas. Emphasis is placed on grammar and on listening and speaking strategies for academic study and for professional and everyday contexts. Activities include discussion and oral presentations.


Reading and Writing (9LA430)

World Tales (9LA58)
Students will read selections from folk literature of world cultures. They will examine the similarities of the human condition and the cultural nuances presented with each section.

Listening and conversation skills and practice, including lectures, television, radio excerpts and presentation skills.

Building practical vocabulary, conversation and pronunciation skills. Designed for beginning students.

Newsletter +

Writing, designing, and publishing a newsletter. Activities include online research, interviewing, writing, and graphic design; the course provides opportunities to practice all language skills and develop vocabulary. Designed for students of all levels.
